Take Back Your Children Take back your children, beloved parents Please don’t let the devil control them any longer; By himself the devil can do nothing; for he has no authority, That’s why he preys on young, impressionable minds; To make them do his work of misery! Take back your children; protect them now; Pray faithfully each morning without fail or fear; Lift your beloved children to our Creator God Ask Him to bless and protect them as they face A world gone made with immorality, Drug addiction, and senseless shootings; Pray also for those troubled confused souls Who masquerade as Rambo possessed! What’s the point of regret once a criminal act is done? What good is “I shoulda…I coulda…I woulda—” Take back control of your children, now Become their friend; know what they’re up to Know what grieves them; lead them to Jesus; Build their confidence with words of encouragement Save them from an untimely, cruel end! “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) H. Heart Replant Pity the fall of man From the Garden of Eden Because of Satan’s cunning deception; But he has not yet won, not by a long shot For we can replant Eden right here in our hearts By first uprooting those spiteful weeds of rage and anger; Include those weeping willows and bitter herbs of disobedience; Those strangling old man’s beard of self-righteousness Those annoying bulbs of the onion grass called greed; Those awful stinging-nettles of repeated sin; Those poison ivy plants of unbelief! When all those Noxious weeds and plants Have been pulled up by the root, Spread a blanket of the Word of God On the base of your now cleaned-out heart; Plant flowers of patience, love, and faithfulness Intersperse goodness, gentleness, and peace; Pour on a thick measure of joy and self-control; Add several decorative stones of kindness; Surround them all with a retaining wall That is the full armour of God Almighty Whose mercy and compassion is plenteous; Yes, let’s replant the Garden of Eden Right there in our hearts!
